As a member of the Valhalla community you agree, through the use of this forum, that the standard Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression will be respected for each and every member. However, posts that are false, defamatory, abusive, racist, homophobic, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise offensive conduct will not be tolerated. You agree to not produce material on Valhalla that is against International or United States laws. Creative, mature, adult expression is encouraged here, but we demand a common sense approach to how we treat each other. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, as well as the knowledge that they will be protected for it so long as these Terms of Service are observed. Any breach of this TOS will be dealt with swiftly. Administrators will warn posters if they have violated rules, but understand this - our Admins are grown adults with full lives and zero patience for constant breach of rules. Constant rule breaking will result in banning.
You accept that members will post material that you personally may object to, but do not break the rules of the TOS. Ours is a multi-fandom community of varied opinions, backgrounds, belief systems, and is not a platform for commentary on social, religious, or political issues. Our intention is to create a healthy, welcome community for fans of many different fandoms. Respect is the foundation of our community.
You agree to not post copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or have written consent from the owner. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden on this forum.
You understand that Administrators and Global Moderators will not for any reason contact you via IM asking for passwords or threatening to ban a user if they don't comply with such a request. The only contact Admin and Global Mods will have with you will be through the board unless otherwise planned between us and the user. If anyone contacts you saying they are a Admin or Global Mod you outside the board we advise that you should block or ignore them, and then notify us.
You agree that all posted messages express the views of that individual poster, and if you find a post objectionable then you have the right to report it to one of the Valhalla administrators. We reserve the right to remove any post or posts we find in violation of the TOS at any time if we determine that removal is necessary. However, we also reserve the right to make the final decision on whether a post is generally offensive or is simply offensive to one individual; such posts may or may not be removed based on the discretion of the administrators.
You also understand that some material posted on this forum may be for mature audiences only. Such material is to be marked as such with a "M" or "MA" rating; however, it is the responsibility of each poster to properly label their posts. It is each member's responsibility to only read content that is appropriate for their age. Moderators will endeavor to correct improper ratings when discovered, but the moderators, administrators, and other forum staff will not be liable for damages, emotional distress, or other hurts caused by readers who voluntarily or involuntarily read age inappropriate material.
You understand and agree that this is a private forum where the responsibility and ownership reside with the administration. You understand that you alone are responsible for your actions as a member of Valhalla, and any consequences of those actions belong to you and you alone. You agree to not seek in any way damages or legal action against Valhalla or its administration as a result of anything done on the Valhalla forum, including liability for incidental or consequential damages. You agree that we retain the right to remove anything posted at our discretion without your consent and that posts are the property of Valhalla as posts cannot be deleted by the poster.
